The Pinot, named after the famed Pinot Noir from Oregon’s wine country (our studio is in the heart of the region), is a refined and sophisticated writing instrument that plays with the extraordinary range of materials define William Henry’s work.
Most of our pens make use of exotic hardwoods as a softer and warmer backdrop for our various decorative metals. The Pinot features a range of beautiful woods and other materials that we directly source from around the world.
Each wood blank is stabilized with acrylic resin to ensure its durability over time, and we create the wood parts for each pen from one blank to guarantee a natural pattern match on the finished piece. Finished by hand through a 15 step polishing process, the final product is beautiful to the eye and comfortable in the hand.
